Spotify sued for patent infringement

Spotify sued for patent infringement: "PacketVideo only has the right to file such litigation because it bought the patent covering “a device for the distribution of music information in digital form.” It did not originally file the patent or originate this innovation – it piggybacked off of a company it acquired which had ownership of the patent. This is incredibly common in the tech industry: Mergers and acquisitions gives manufacturers new rights and lay new claims, but there’s something about the timing and incredibly broad language of the patents that makes this feel like a dirty trick."

TheWritersCafe.org » 2008 » August: "At the same time I could not help wondering how come I have not seen any of the two 2-lb bags of the pre-washed star K heksher lceberg lettuce mix. I know that I sometimes look too deeply into things but for some reason I have gotten used to spending say between $3 to $5 for either a two or three pound bag of washed star k heksher lettuce. However I simply can not bring myself to spend say $2.99 for 1 lb of lettuce, even if it is prewashed and has a star k heksher."

Magnitude 6.0 - SOUTH ISLAND OF NEW ZEALAND

Magnitude 6.0 - SOUTH ISLAND OF NEW ZEALAND: "The M6.0 June 13, 2011 South Island, New Zealand earthquake is a continuing part of the earthquake sequence that initiated with the M 7.0 September 3, 2010 Darfield, New Zealand event. The June 13, M 6.0 earthquake is a dominantly strike-slip faulting event near the eastern end of the inferred rupture of the 21 February 2011 M 6.1 earthquake. Both this M 6.0 quake and the previous M 6.1 event have an inferred fault plane striking approximately east-northeast. The entire earthquake sequence is broadly associated with regional plate boundary deformation as the Pacific and Australia plates interact in the central South Island, New Zealand.

This latest earthquake, similar to the February 21 event, is close to the main population centers of Christchurch, New Zealand."
