Those of us who labor daily in the educational vineyards think constantly about what sort of world our graduates will enter. As I ponder over issues such as information processing, global awareness, economic viability, sustainability of the planet and its democratic institutions, I wonder how best we can educate our children to not only cope but to be productive and happy world citizens. Interestingly enough, my answers to these questions have remained basically the same over the two and a half decades I have been working with young people."
